Al Quran Al Azeez · Last updated September 30, 2026

Al Quran Al Azeez does not require an account and does not collect personal information. This page explains the small amount of data the app does handle, and why.

Crash reporting

We use Sentry to catch crashes and errors so we can fix bugs. A crash report may include a screenshot of the screen at the moment of the error and app state (such as the current surah, theme, or reciter selected) to help us diagnose the problem. No device identifiers, IP address, or personal identity are attached to these reports.

Qibla direction

If you use the Qibla compass, your device's location is read on-device only, to calculate the bearing to the Kaaba. It is never transmitted off your device or stored anywhere.

Feedback

If you choose to submit feedback from within the app, our feedback service receives what you enter in the form — your email address (so we can reply), a subject, and your message — along with the app version, your selected language, basic device details (device model, Android version, and screen size), your approximate country, and a randomly generated, anonymous install identifier (not a device identifier — it resets if you reinstall the app). Your IP address itself is not stored; only a one-way hash of it is kept, to block spam. This is only ever sent if you actively open the feedback form and submit it, and it is kept until you ask us to delete it.

What we don't do

Deleting your data

To ask MR AppWorks to delete your Al Quran Al Azeez data:

  1. Email mrappworks.dev@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my data — Al Quran Al Azeez”.
  2. Send it from the email address you used in the feedback form, or include the feedback reference number you were shown after submitting (it looks like FB-8KQ2M), so we can find your messages.
  3. We delete your data within 30 days and reply to confirm once it's done.

What is deleted: every feedback message you sent and everything stored with it — your email address, subject, message, device details, install identifier, and our replies. We don't keep a copy.

What we can't delete on request, and why: crash reports have no email, device identifier, or other identity attached, so there is no way to tell which ones came from you. They are deleted automatically by Sentry within 90 days.

Data on your phone: your settings and downloaded recitations and content are stored only on your device and never sent to us. You can remove them at any time by clearing the app's storage in Android Settings, or by uninstalling the app.
